For all you dutch people, how did you learn?
like a lot of dutch people learned a lot of english from tv, because the vocalaudio in english/american series/movies on dutch tv is translated in subtitles on the screen instead of replaced by dutch vocalaudio.

personally also learned a lot from the uk's videogame magazines i bought as a kid. also knew some kids in my neighbourhood who were originally raised in the uk.

Ireland, seeing as i lived there nearly all my life.
i learned from my pap :P
I learned it from a huge forum I'm on. gaiaonline.com
And I still am, for 3 years already, really active. More than 8 million people have joined so far. It was a great help to improve from zero to clean English. Good enough for anyone to understand.

Well, mostly from war movies I guess. When I was 10 years old, I was watching 'The Battle of Britain' with my dad, and I suddenly realised that I could understand what those geezers in the film were saying.

When I was 12 years old, I went to a high school where they offered bilingual education, so I'm pretty much capable of speaking English on native-level.
I learned most of my English from movies..
Didn't learn much English at school..most i already knew.

hmm i'm from austria and i started with english in the 3rd class of primary school...
so i had english at school for about 11 years then. and it's always good for your english if you listen to english music, watch english movies and use the language when you're abroad...
i think it's a very easy language anyway *gg*
