For Beirut by the World
Beirut is hurting. The events of August 4th have devastated a difficult situation. No ounce of solidarity was missing in the minutes and hours following the tragedy of August 4. Let's put that noble sentiment to good use.
Join us on Sunday, September 13, starting at 01:58PM EEST/Beirut Time with a minute's silence to commemorate the victims and their loved ones and those affected by the explosion, forty days after the moment the blast left catastrophe in its wake.
Providing much needed relief and support to the people of Lebanon and the many affected by the tragedy, the global electronic music community will come together for 12 dedicated hours. More than 100 DJs from around the world will be part of this fundraiser including Carl Cox, Pete Tong, Luciano (Official Page) to name only a few of our friends who have stepped up in dedication to a city and a people we cherish.

The aim is to raise $500,000 to help rebuild the Beirut with the funds being distributed to 3 initiatives already doing some great work for Beirut:
• Bebw’shebbek supported by ULYP
• Beirut Emergency Fund: www.lifelebanon.org
• Impact Lebanon
Bebw’shebbek’s mission is to replace the doors and windows of the destroyed homes, bringing them back — as closely as possible — to how they looked before the explosion.
More information here: www.bebwshebbek.org
Beirut Emergency Fund - a coalition of Lebanese diaspora organisations, working to meet the humanitarian needs among vulnerable populations impacted by the explosion in Lebanon. These include shelter, food, medical supplies, physical and mental health, as well as mitigating any environmental damage.
Impact Lebanon are raising funds for ongoing relief efforts through their Disaster Relief for Beirut Explosion initiative with a rigorous NGO vetting process. The most important selection criteria for the NGOs is that they are apolitical and non-sectarian, are registered and recognised, have ongoing initiatives to address the crisis and have passed an audit test.
The fundraiser will be streamed on the ELD website: www.electroniclaborday.com as well as the Beatport Twitch: www.twitch.tv/beatportofficial. You can also tune in through the Electronic Labor Day or Beatport Facebook pages.
