SYNAPTIC DREAMS
Before laying the foundations of Liquorish Records, One of Amsterdam's best offbeat club and avantgarde record label, there was Synaptic Dreams. It started as a duo in 2008 formed by Noam Kamal & Oomboi Lauw and quickly became a platform with a broadcasting show on the only pirate radio : Radio Patapoe. The core members, dedicated to bringing quality and original music, expanded their team and started doing weekly shows on Friday. Now composed of DJ Lauw, Brakeable System, J(ay).A.D & Mean Green, the collective started round 2009 to work together through the Synaptic Dreams show. After playing various dubstep parties and raves, the Synaptic Dreams adventure, with its new crew started to focus on putting up a label, which became known as Liquorish Records. The sound of Synaptic Dreams could be described as broad, bassy, weird, dubby, edgy, raw, deep & hyphy. From worldwide urban sounds to experimental western club music going from Reggae / Dub & Dubstep to Grime & Uk Bass. Juke / Footwork to Jungle, Dancehall to Hip Hop. Kuduro to Bashment Eouse... Expect a variety of sounds and genres, rhythm & bass oriented and grooves galore.
