Différence et Répétition is a new platform focused on adventurous contemporary music. We aim to provide our DJ’s with a safe haven to escape the formulaic constraints of the dance floor set, allowing them to take unexpected turns.
For the first edition we’ve invited JONDO, a tastemaker in the Cologne club scene. Jondo is a regular at Düsseldorf’s Salon des Amateurs and holds a monthly residency at NTS Radio.
Alongside his partner Fallon, GEBBEN runs Wichelroede, an online record shop and podcast series turnt label, which recently launched with a split cassette by Ben UFO and Beatrice Dillon. Besides his activities with Wichelroede Gebben is known for his eclectic DJ sets, which have earned him slots at the Rewire festival, amongst others.
Night Slugs-affiliate MOKONA hosts a show at London based Radar Radio, where he regularly gives a glimpse into his vast archive of ambient treasures. His first record was released on Templar Sound, featuring a collaboration with grime veteran Rapid.
YON ETA is an Amsterdam based DJ/producer who has previously presented works at venues like EYE, FOAM and Stedelijk Museum. For his label DEVORM he recruits artists working at the fringes of experimental music and contemporary digital media. He also curates the Viral Radio show on Red Light Radio.
Mancunian WAR TONE puts on the forward thinking Native Self and SMA IMS nights to provide the digital avant-garde with a space in the nightlife of Amsterdam. Apart from this he curates the Unthinkable show on NTS with J.G. Biberkopf and writes features for various publications.
