✪ Concept: ✪
Rhythm is fundamental to the spirit … Strongly influenced by the UK sound during the nineties, Quincy Steveninck started to make a reputation for himself in 1997 being one of the first djs and event promoters to introduce progressive house music in the Belgian club scene with his concept “Extreme Progressive”, hosted in the legendary Extreme in Affligem in 1998.
After his residency at Extreme in 2001 and due the unfortunate closing of the club later on that year the infamous Rebuilding Mondays at the Boccaccio in Destelbergen where born and became in short notice the new gathering for Monday clubbers from all over Belgium and even France and The Netherlands.
During many years Quincy kept working on his reputation as innovative house promoter with several concepts, inviting – breakthrough artists at that moment - such as Jessy Rose, Pako & Frederiek, Pole Folder, Aril Brikha and Jamie Anderson to name a few.
In 2008 Quincy Steveninck and Nik Vandenberghe (Charlatan) teamed up for a new concept, Age of Love. After more than 6 years, still one of Belgium's leading party concepts hosted at Charlatan, the beautiful Vooruit venue and Artcube in Ghent.
During 20 Years “Vinyl only” dj Quincy has played lots of events and legendary clubs as Tomorrowland 10DaysOff, Laundry Day, Feest In Het Park, Kozzmozz, Beats Of Love, Paradise, Café D'anvers, Fuse, La Rocca, At The Villa, Cherry Moon, Montini, Silo ... and also abroad in Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Switserland, The Netherlands, Croatia and Ibiza.
As time really flies Quincy and Age Of Love decided to trow a little party, celebrating “20 Years DJ Quincy” on Saturday the 31st of January at home base Charlatan in Ghent together with a selection of artists that became a great source of inspiration true his career but also a source of friendship. Of course it’s impossible to invite every artist for those same reasons, Marko De La Rocca, CP, Zolex, Yves Deruyter, DJ George’s and Jan Van Biesen to name a few … but hey, no worries as you will be able to hear them soon at one of our next Age Of Love events
