◆ MAKCIM (Awakenings / Watergate / Loveland)
[ vinyl only dj-set ]
Russian born but in the Netherlands based DJ and producer Makcim takes his inspiration from a whole world of music. It can be the jazz, post-punk, prog or synth pop he grew up on, or the deeper, groove laden four-four he now plays all over the world. His releases on labels like Remote Area and Raum Musik are getting support from big shots like TiNi, Ricardo Villalobos and Raresh. Makcim’s own vinyl only DJ sets are ever more in demand at leading clubs like Watergate and Club der Visionaere in Berlin, Trouw, Amsterdam and Awakenings Festival in the Netherlands as well as many others. Makcim can be labeled as a purist and pioneer. A true craftsman, so to say.
