The Hardcore Weekender is cancelled.
Unfortunately that is the case - The Hardcore Heaven Weekender 2011 will NOT be taking place at Pontin's
Southport this year.
Why?
Last year, Pontin's went into administration and was bought by a new company. There have been difficulties
agreeing certain aspects of the event with the new venue management meaning that it has become impossible
for the event to carry on as we or you would have wanted.
The final straw came when the new management stipulated that in order for them to maximise their profits the
general public would be allowed to book the remaining chalets that had not been taken by Hardcore
Weekender guests.
Can you imagine that?
Trying to rave in your chalet whilst next door a Nan is trying to get her grandchild to sleep?
Think about this some more...
What would Nan make of the outdoor terrace sound system? What about HHTV broadcasting into Nan's room?
Imagine if Nan got chalet raided? We would face severe noise and time restrictions in the music arenas, and
that chalet parties would be unwelcome. The site would not be 'your own' and it wouldn't be the Hardcore
Weekender that we all know and love.
Despite trying to work things through with the venue to get them to see it from our point of view, we've been told
in no uncertain terms that they will not listen... that they are not interested in us or you.
So what's the solution?
Well, we need your support. We think we have come up with a solution that, although will cost us money, will
still provide you with an event to go to and will not cripple Hardcore Heaven as a company.
In the last couple of days we have teamed up with our allies HTID to put together something really quite
special. We are going to stage a 3 night Hardcore Heaven Weekender event as part of HTID In The Sun at no
extra cost to you. In fact it will cost Hardcore Heaven £21 for every single person that takes up this unique
opportunity.
So what does this mean?
Quite simply we are asking that you write off the May 13th-15th date and switch your booking to 3 nights at
HTID between 12th – 18th June.
We have the following three options from which you can choose and consider all your options carefully - you
have three weeks to make a decision.
