Line-up Katapult
Line-up is niet compleet.
The Heykids house, disco |
This Wednesday, Katapult presents a refined summer line-up of spellbinding disco and house.
A few days ahead of their debut-ep release on the much-vaunted Merok label (who started the careers of artists such as The Big Pink, Crystal Castles, The Teenagers and Klaxons), Blondes will perform live at Katapult.
Melding assorted influences ranging from acid techno to new age to Top 40 into a personal dance vision, 'Touched' offers an exploration of euphoria, intuition, and emotion at their most purified. Equally at home in a sweaty basement party or a solo 6 AM drive thinking "where did it all go so right", this is probably the closest anyone has gotten to translating the shape of a heart into electronic wave forms.
"Imaginary dance music for the head and the heart as much as it is for the feet" - NME
"Displays a craft and restraint that belies their short years" - Pitchfork

Strange Boutique follow up. Two Disco princesses that show their fondness of the strange, the weird & the psychedelic with chique-sweet pop infused disco antics. The middle slot is for Berlin-based David Gilmourgirls frontman Robin, who provided us all with an unforgettable discofever last summer with them jams back to back with Jacques Renault. The Heykids will close with an adventurous journey through their budding housesound.
