Informatie
ESN VU Amsterdam (before ESN-VUniverse) is the ESN section of VU University Amsterdam. We take care of all international students that come to VU University.
We do this by providing pick-ups, introduction days, mentor programs, weekend trips, hitchhiking contests, city trips, social drinks and much much more! Keep up to date with our social and cultural activities on this page.
Originally founded by a handful of Dutch students in 1992, it has since grown into one of the primary caretakers of foreign exchange students at VU University Amsterdam.
At the beginning of each semester, ESN organizes the ISI Days (International Student Introduction Days), an introduction through Amsterdam. Other activities can be weekly borrels, hitchhiking weekends, bowling nights and ice-skating trips, or even city trips and full-fledged weekends into the great outdoors (in the Netherlands or abroad).
Our board consists of six enthusiastic students who also provide mentoring programs to international students. An Activities and PR committee helps us with organizing activities and promoting them. Additionally, they raise funds for sponsoring, establish promotions for our members with different firms and cooperate with partners such as ISN of UvA, Aureus, Financial Study Association Amsterdam and Marketing Association Amsterdam.
