Biografie
Bart Frederik Mulder & Morad El Ouakili met each other in 2010. It appeared they had a similar musical taste, as well as the persistence to break out. After they produced their first track (Music is Love > #16 Dance Chart)) together, they felt like doing more productions together.
The next banger they dropped was the reggaelectro earpounder "Like a star" (May 2011) with Jamaican singer Calibe. This one hit different charts all over the world. It got high rotation on Tempo Networks and Carvibez TV in the Caribbean. This production is an example of the crossover in musical styles this duo brings. Bassanova: "We never believe in putting music away in one genre or style. When we produce Dutch, you'll get some electro too. When we do the bleep-ish trick, there's also a surprising dubsteppish moombahtron break." That's why you'll always find songs that provide in your musical house-needs.
A few bootlegs and originals later, Bassanova & Moradzo decided to form an unbreakable team. Well-respected labels like Spinnin' Records and NEWS Records used this duo's talent for some clubby remixes. Clokx, Bobina, DJ Punish, Carlos Barbosa, Peter Gelderblom, Lucky Charmes and Wynter Gordon are just a few of the artists that let their music being remixed by Bassanova & Moradzo. Bobina's Diamond Hell was also released on an ibiza-compilation in the summer of 2012: Ibiza house summer 2012, the best in progressive and electro.
In the summer of 2012 Bassanova & Moradzo were the opening-act for the Far East Movement in Paradiso, Amsterdam.
In 2011 they hit the Beatjunks Top 100 with two productions. On #35 there's their collab with MC Sherlock: You Don't Know (Sleazy Stereo remix) and on #18 their bootleg of One Republics' Apologize. (www.beatjunks.com)
Amongst their supporters are quite a few of the big shots: The Crookers, DJ's from mars, Billy the Klit and Vato Gonzalez already played some of their sounds.
