Biografie
Jodee Kitch started 'deejaying', at a very young age, at local clubs in Zandvoort, on the coast of the Netherlands, playing various kinds of music, on different nights, developing both his musical personality , as well as his 'cutting-skills', and then…
…at the beginning of the 90's he fell in love with house/dance and began playing it on his (illegal) radio station, named 'Dj's'. He also had his own drive-in show linked to the radio station.
Starting 1992, playtime was over and Jodee got serious bookings, playing a lot of private and illegal party's in- and around the nation's Capitol. Come 1993 he was asked to play for the after party's in the notorious underground club Latido, in Zaandam with dj's Erick E and Jürgen, where he made a lasting impression on the Dutch 'in-crowd'. Plenty of reason, for DJ Jean to invite Jodee, to perform his magic, together with Jean, at the world-famous (gay) club 'IT', in Amsterdam. One gig led to another and Jodee ended up working there, weekly, for 4 consecutive years, alongside the Dutch 'Master-of-the-wheels-of-steel'.
In the same period, he also produced his first record, 'Don't you feel it', together with the House Negro aka Kenny Harder , Rocking the underground club-charts, adding -producer- to his curriculum.
From local residencies, in clubs like the 'IT' and 'Ja' as well as 'Sandy's', co-starring collegue and close friend Dj Brian S, to international gigs, in Germany, Austria and France, to another residency at he 'Dancesalon' in Rotterdam (once again with Brian S). Our young Dj was on a roll.
Meanwhile, in 1997 Jodee was asked to fly solo, in the worlds leading (men only) gay club Cockring in Amsterdam (where he still plays every Monday and Friday) and less then a year later, he got booked for After Hour Power, at the Lexion in Zaandam, the biggest afterparty organization in the Netherlands. Every first Sunday morning of the month, 5000 people, from all over the world coming together to party. After the second booking, Jodee became the resident and the party's 'live' recording was broadcasted every Saturdaynight on radio 538, the "number one radio station of the Netherlands". The same organization, also featured him, twice a month for 'Hour Power', Sundaynights , at the 'Escape' venue in Amsterdam.
It wasn't before 2003, that he released his second record, 'Charley Parker' together with Dj Bobby Burns, Taking them as far as 'Club Passarella', in Tangiers (Morocco) and 'Pacha', in Mallorca (Spain), from where he ventured on to Australia, alone, playing several private party's and clubs, from The Whickham (gay-) club in Brisbane, to the Gold Coast and Byron Bay,Barnaby Joe' s in (Bahrain) and Club 'Viscaya' (Tel Aviv) Israel. Back in the Netherlands, Jodee continues playing the club-circuit and national in- and outdoor festivals (Dancevoort, Pepsi X, Mysteryland, etc.), while undertaking other endeavours, related to music (organizing parties, light- and audio- consultancy ), with his company 'Trefik Creations'. In January 2008, Jodee started his own radio (dance/house) show 'Fette Sjit' aka 'PHAT SH*T',together with (Mc) Pryme (King Bee), Previously aired on Thursdays, on radio Decibel, 94.9fm, (or www.decibel.fm ) the nr. 1 radio station in Amsterdam. The show was broadcasted live from the station (21:00-23:00hrs),or live inside various clubs throughout the city(21:00-03:00hrs), featuring a different guest DJ every week,The show was also 'aired' every once a month, in the United States and Puerto Rico (Thanks to Oscar P). Currently, producing tracks, with Amir Barbell (mainstage DanceValley 2008), Jordan Rivera (Future Street Music) and Pryme (King Bee, PHAT SH*T), soon to be released.
You'll be seeing him around! Jodee is known for playing House music Plus: from warm grooves to 'Tribal' beats, from 'Deephouse' to breakbeats, from 'Techno' to 'Electro' and 'Minimal', vocals or dubs.
