Real stories of real deejays on Dekmantel Festival
We are proud to announce that we've teamed up with Warsteiner and that we are able to add something truly extraordinary to our festival. This summer we will tell the stories of real people, real deejays, and their absolute passion for music in the series 'Sole Selectors'.
We've started this series with Antal, we've welcomed Mr. Ties and now we proudly bring you the story of outspoken non-producer and label runner Ben UFO.
'Sole Selectors'
Every country and every city has its musical heroes. Locals who live for music and spend most of their time behind the turntables or in the record store, always digging for that one special record to complete their five-star collection. All energy is invested in their craft: deejaying. These exceptional and passionate DJs have set an example for many and have even been the reason to start playing tunes as well for some.
These DJs have an amazing story to tell. What does music exactly mean to them? What has this passion brought them and what has it cost them? What is their perspective on life and how are they perceived by the people next to them? Dekmantel and Warsteiner are inspired and take on the challenge to bring their stories at http://dkmn.tl/soleselectors. Of course we've asked them to continue their story on an (extra!) stage hosted by Warsteiner during Dekmantel Festival 2014.
