Italo-alien duo DJs From Mars is now part of an international advertising campaign, being part of the new 'Shave Forth' promotional video for Gillette:



The djs are featured in the video shot in South Africa, in which they play themselves on the decks and in unusual scenes (in the pool, in The Streets, in front of a mirror).
The video, released June 10th 2015, has already more than 2 million views on YouTube in just a few days, and the web buzz about the campaign is very strong (it's one of the most seen videos in the world in the advertising categories).

DJs From Mars (with Dr. Lektroluv, the other masked dj in the video) also deliver the soundtrack for this short movie, here's the link to the free download of the track:



Meantime, the alien duo is always touring: they're just back from 4 shows in China, their upcoming shows include Las Vegas next weekend and more shows in Europe and America in the summer.

Another special edition of the Spinnin' Sessions radio show this week, now including a guest mix by Martin Solveig!
The Frenchman, who's been making loads of waves this year with hit singles 'Intoxicated' and '+1', has created a real mashup house mix, almost continuously blending tracks from himself, Sam Smith, Disclosure, Curbi, Watermät & TAI, Azealia Banks and even Technotronic's undestroyable 'Pump Up The Jam'..




Spinnin' Records has enhanced its Talent Pool with a new feature: remix contests. The first contest is live now, a remix of this week's KSHMR release 'Jammu'. Contending producers are able to win an official collab with world famous artist KSHMR as well as specially prepared production packages.

Already announced when the new Talent Pool was launched in May, this is another step forward for the groundbreaking tool, making it able for young, unknown producers to get their music out in the open without having to conquer piles of demos at the label's A&R department.

After working as an app on Facebook for a few years, Spinnin's Talent Pool re-launched its talent scouting too to own fully functioning website last month where tracks can be uploaded, shared and gain popularity. Every user can sign up for a free Account, create a profile, upload a track from their SoundCloud profile and start collecting votes and points to climb up the Talent Pool charts. Spinnin's A&R people play an important role here, checking the uploads on a daily basis and providing feedback.

Remix Contests
When this re-vamped Talent Pool was launched last month, it was immediately clear this is a work-in-progress. For the next months, new features will be added, including special competions and an extended rewarding system. Among these innovations were also the remix contests, giving the Talent Pool producers the chance to (re-)work some of the most popular records of the moment.

The first remix contest just went live. World famous producer KSHMR agreed his brand new single 'Jammu' can be taken apart and remixed in every which way by the Talent Pool producers, who've already amassed into a music creating crowd of thousands.

The prizes are impressive. The producer that delivers the best remix wins an official collab with KSHMR, one of the most professional and praised producers in the world. Second and third prizes will be in the form of production packages, including the newest soft- and hardware. How about that for a contest debut - the newest milestone in the ever evolving Talent Pool.

Miss Kittin returns to Mobilee as part of the ten-year anniversary celebration with a fresh EP with Nicolas Masseyeff titled "June." The title track is now premiering over on Beatport. Be sure to grab your copy of the full EP on June 19th.


Op 1 en 2 juli wordt in de Johan Cruijff ArenA het SHAKE Young Talent Innovation Festival georganiseerd. Het is de eerste samenwerking tussen Open-House en Johan Cruijff ArenA.

Tijdens het SHAKE Young Talent Innovation Festival wordt jong talent uitgedaagd om tijdens de opbouw van Sensation de ultieme digitale ervaring te bedenken. Dit gebeurt onder begeleiding van professionele coaches uit de evenementenindustrie en mediawereld, onder wie Duncan Stutterheim van ID&T. Deelname is gratis en het programma is volledig verzorgd, inclusief een overnachting in de Johan Cruijff ArenA.

Het programma duurt 36 uur en bestaat uit het werken aan de teamopdracht, maar ook uit lezingen van specialisten uit de media- en entertainmentindustrie, coaching sessies van opdrachtgevers, digitale creatieve bureaus en workshops van toonaangevende dj's (School of House).
Teams van maximaal vijf personen kunnen zich hier inschrijven.


'Funky and Soulful' might just be the only way to fully describe 'Run Away' with only a few words. Berlin based Marlon Hoffstadt's first release on Armada was his remix of Krono's 'Redlight' and he's continued that high standard in this new collaboration with HRRSN, featuring the mesmerizing vocals of Mulay. Everything fits as it's supposed to, ensuring a fine record.




Joris Delacroix heeft onlangs zijn nieuwe EP 'Movings' uitgebracht. Het was een tijdje stil rondom Joris Delacroix, maar afgelopen april kwam hij knalhard terug met zijn track 'Backinbizness'. Nu twee maanden later is het tijd voor een vervolg en die is er. In 'Movings' laat Joris een nieuwe kant van zichzelf horen. Na zeven jaar te hebben gewerkt aan zijn status als deephouse koning van Frankrijk is met 'Movings' de toon gezet voor vernieuwing. De plaat kenmerkt zich door een diepere, hardere sound en is perfect voor menig festival of clubavond. De EP bestaat uit zes verschillende nummers, waaronder de radio edit van de 'Backinbizness' EP.

Gepaard met de release van 'Movings' komt Joris Delacroix met een interactieve video naar buiten. Door gebruik te maken van desktop en smartphone kan men actief deel uit maken van het verloop van de video. Interactie tussen fan en muziek is een belangrijk onderdeel van de ervaring die Joris Delacroix probeert de bereiken met zijn nieuwe EP, en met deze video komt dat perfect tot zijn recht.
