yeah net labels are good - I LIKE THEM! ... a while ago i had reservations about net labels - especially cos there were some shit ones, But i think its a great way to spread free music, gets artists - (that dont usually have a look in elsewhere), tracks heard and promotes artists aswell. I wouldnt know if artists that have grown in the scene would want to produce for "free", im not one of them All i know is that have discovered many great artists through net labels so i say keep them coming so i can hear more!!
No I don't like netlabels, simply because the bad quality many have.
Not all but most...
I think the ease at a netlabel of publishing is the reason of publishing crap. An overkill of crap releases keeps the quality low.
Besides the most release are not mastered at all and mostly mp3. On the contrary ambient netlabels are mostly published in flac which is much better audio quality!
But hey, who cares!? It's free! Well...Me! I prefer quality above quantity!

Oke and what if a net label releases .flac, all tracks are mastered and the producers have put lots of work in it
There are some people who make a net-label because they cant release it on a real label.
Or because there is barely no scene (in other styles as speedcore hehe)
Personally i like free tracks!

Then it's ok with me but try to find a netlabel which put that much effort in it's releases...there aren't many...
This is what i found on google

FLAC stands for Free Lossless Audio Codec, an audio format similar to MP3, but lossless, meaning that audio is compressed in FLAC without any loss in quality. This is similar to how Zip works, except with FLAC you will get much better compression because it is designed specifically for audio, and you can play back compressed FLAC files in your favorite player (or your car or home stereo, see supported devices) just like you would an MP3 file.
FLAC stands out as the fastest and most widely supported lossless audio codec, and the only one that at once is non-proprietary, is unencumbered by patents, has an open-source reference implementation, has a well documented format and API, and has several other independent implementations.

But if the tracks were first exported to .wav and then mastering and then turn it into mp3 you have same quality..

This is not true.
If you export to WAV and then convert to FLAC it's the same quality.
But WAV to MP3 doesn't result in same quality.

does it matter if people are interested or not?? ur always gonna get the odd twat that will say there is no point - why give that much of a shit - really??? Also a lot of people will download stuff even if theyre not interested in it, but just for the sake of it - FACT.

Quite a nice dutch weblabel: Dadaist Audio
Open to anything, accepting anything. Mp3 & FLAC (usually both available for one release).
You just have to find the diamonds between the rubbish. Some releases are pretty neat.
