De naam Cream is inmiddels een van de meest invloedrijke namen van dancemuziek sinds de organisatie werd opgericht in Liverpool in de vroege 90s, toen Cream's legendarische clubnachten het hart van de muziekscene van de UK vormden.
Opgericht in 1998, was Creamfields erop uit om de clubwereld een groot openluchtevenement te bieden waar dj's centraal staan. Het flagship festival in de UK is inmiddels uitgegroeid van een eendaagse show met een capaciteit van 25.000 man tot een vierdaagse festival met camping, meer dan 300 acts verspreid over 30 stages en een uitverkocht publiek van maar liefst 70.000 festivalgangers.
