Biografie
Sy Sez is a London DJ who's journey began playing on many of London's pirate radio stations. Along with his radio shows he began playing his unique style of all things "House" at local clubs, bars, house & warehouse parties. On his journey since then, he has graced many of Europes best clubs aswell as holding residencies in his hometown London in venues including Ministry of Sound, East-Village, Plan B Neighbourhood & Herbal and travelling as a resident DJ for established brands such as Soul-Heaven, Kinky Malinki, Stereo Sushi, BeatPlayers and in 2012 the GrooveFest event in Dominican Republic.
His journeys have led Sy to spin alongside and rub shoulders on lineups with some of the true greats of his music such as - Louie Vega & Kenny Dope (Masters at Work), India, Frankie Knuckles, Jamie Jones, Tony Humphries, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Roger Sanchez, Kerri Chandler, Dennis Ferrer, Martinez Bros, Deetron, Huxley, Horse Meat Disco, Noir, Sam Divine, Alexis Raphael, DJ Spen, Lil Louis, Phil Asher, Osunlade, Aaron Ross & Neil Pierce (Fanatix), Frankie Feliciano, Terry Hunter, Karizma, Black Coffee, Bugz in the Attic, Paul "Trouble" Anderson, Jimpster, Yass, DJ Deep, Arnold Jarvis, Atjazz, Copyright + many more....
Sy Sez is also 1 half of production outfit AphroDisiax, teaming up in 2009 with fellow Londoner - Gavin Peters. Since then AphroDisiax have had a string of releases on established labels such as Defected, MN2S, Soul Heaven, TRIBE, Seamless, Foliage, Restless Soul, Seamless + more…and have released & worked on material featuring artists such as Katy B, Roland Clark, Mike Dunn, Kaidi Tatham, Bugz In Da Attic, Jaidene Veda, Coree Richards, Inaya Day, Tasita D'mour, LT Brown + many more
In 2012 Sy Sez was asked to join new London radio station Mi Soul, which is the brain-child of the founder of Kiss FM - Gordon Mac - who personally invited Sy onboard to provide his unique sound to the masses. His show runs solidly every other Thursday night 9pm -12pm via www.mi-soul.com or APPS. Watch out for regular guest interviews from some of the biggest names in the game, aswell as the finest House Music.
In 2013 Sy continues his long standing residency for Soul Heaven flying the flag for them worldwide as well as resident DJ in East Village, Shoreditch + for GrooveFest in Dominican Republic.
No matter what Sy has a serious love for the music he plays & makes, and his passion shines through in any of the sets you will hear him play.
