Biografie
Roelof Korporaal, better known under just his last name "Korporaal" (korporaal means "corporal" in Dutch), developed a love for music at a very young age. When he was 9 years old he started to play the guitar. Influenced by different genres, from pop to rock and from classic rock to heavy metal he continued playing till he was 14 years old. This was when his musical journey changed its direction. For the first time he heard the booming beats from genres like house, hardstyle and even hardcore. Playing the guitar made place to a new dream: playing the decks and producing own tracks.
At this age he was just messing around with free software to spice up tracks and to learn something about producing. It was nothing serious, just good fun. But when he graduated from high school in 2011, at the age of 17, there was a DJ booked on his last day of school. Although he already fell in love with music at an early age, this very moment actually was when he decided that he wanted to express his love for music and Electronic Dance Music (EDM) in particular, as a DJ as well.
After this day he started DJ-ing using his laptop, learning the know-how about DJ-ing. But it didn't feel the same as the decks. So a few months later, after working his ass off, he bought his first set of decks. And with this the journey continuous... Because after this and after many months of practicing in his bedroom, making tons of mixes, he decided that he wanted to make his own tracks as well. He wanted to create the energetic, banging sounds he loved so much. He wanted to reach the public with what he loves the most: jumping beats and crazy sounds.
Which brings the journey to the present. Nowadays, at the age of 19, he is known for his enthusiasm and energetic, uplifting sets with the most crazy sounds. Influenced by many genres like house, electro, trap, moombahton, hardstyle, dubstep, latin and all other vibes you can go totally bananas on.
Besides this he spends all his spare time in his home-studio trying to reach a higher level with every energetic track he produces. And with a brand new mixtape serie called "Knock Out", standing for the thumping beats and high energy vibe he lives for, you can say it is a buzzing period in Korporaals life. And you are a part of it...
