Biografie
Dawn Panty is part of the Dutch Dj-collective Boomshakalak Soundsystem. Together with her crew she's brought Jamaican rooted music to dancefloors in since 2011.
It's pretty hard for her to put together a short summary of highlights. But if she is to pick a few, she mentions: 'Hosting our own area at Paaspop Festival 8 years in a row. Playing in Concorde 2 in Brighton
and and opening main stage at We Are Electric in 2015. Not to mention being a regular behind the organisation and the decks at Boomshakalak's own parties: Homebase in Merleyn and the legendary annual Winter BBQ's in december.
Dawns musical specialties are reggae, dub and dancehall. Played in an eclectic mix together with bashment, afro and reggaeton, to top off with some earblowing moombahton and UK bass every once in a while.
She is master in adapting to her crowd and has a very fine ability to read the dancefloor and adjust her genres accordingly. Besides, she's pretty fun to have around. Always dancing across the stage with an entertaining smile from ear to ear. Her performances are energetic and personal. Go see her and you'll see!
