Biografie
Gestalt Effect is the alias of Tom den Hartog (aka Tom ti Dom), who was born and raised in Leiden, The Netherlands. In his early teens his brother showed him the tricks of both deejaying and producing which has lead him becoming the skilled DJ he is today.
At the age of 16 Tom fell in love with house music on his first house party in 1990. His love for electronical music has grown steadily ever since. In 1996 he started deejaying. Local residencies followed and it didn't take long before he played in Mazzo, Paradiso and Supperclub (Amsterdam). France and Spain followed shortly after.
Highlights in Tom's career are playing prime time at the Scoop party in Paradiso Amsterdam, Deejaying at Rachdingue in Spain and being the main act at the TW!ST festival in Leiden.
Besides Deejaying he actively contributed to the house scene by organising parties in Leiden and Amsterdam, writing party reports and music reviews and making after movies. In between he was a label representative, a party decorator and a designer of records, flyers and posters.
Since last year he owns a studio and is working hard on his DJ sets and own productions. Recently this resulted in sharing the stage with Estroe and Isis in Magistrat.
He brings diversity, warmth and depth with strong mixing skills to the dance floor. Expect a grooving blend of House, Techno and their sub genres.
