Biografie
DJ Oonah was born in 1985. His first contact with psytrance came at the age of 16. Since then he started to develop his way into the Belgian scene. At his young age he started to organize events in Ghent, the city where he resides. As time passed he became more and more interested in mixing his favorite style as a dj. Since he was already close and familiar with the music it wasn't hard to learn in fast tempo.
Oonah's style depends on the occasion and what time of the night or day he plays, over the years he has become a very versatile dj handling a wide array of psytrance from full on over progressive to oldschool even expanding into minimal and techno at times. His mixing talent didn't go unnoticed as he was playing numerous parties in Belgium. In 2004 it was the Portuguese Menog/Skyfall who asked Oonah to join his fresh label Spectral records. In 2005 he was invited to play a set at the massive Full Moon festival in Germany and he joined in on the Mexico tour with Dacru. In 2006 he joined Dacru Records on a more permanent basis and more international gigs followed.
Oonah regularly teams up with DJ Bonas from Aquila. They have performed in plenty of big events in Belgium and abroad and also did the Essentials Vol.1 mix cd for Dacru Records in 2010. In 2015 they released their own compilation Uncharted Vol.1 in the same label.
Oonah also took some steps in the production of music. In 2006 he made his first release with the track 'Next Stop Earth', which he produced together with DigiCult. A cooperation with Ephedrix appeared in their second full album. Since a few years now he has joined the DigiCult project on a more firm base, continuing to be an important element within Dacru Records.
