Panthera Krauses sound flows easily between uplifting-chords, meandering arpeggiators and melancholic scapes all framed in housy, MPC-ruled beats, cut-throat samples and mostly a fresh breeze of dirt. The Leipzig based producer started his musical road trip with weekly prodcasts on local radio stations. In 2005 he started the band Marbert Rocel together with some of his friends and released in 2007 the first of 4 LPs on Compost Reccords. But it was in 2012 when Panthera released his first solo track Cassandra on the Leipzig based label O*RS, this was followed by his Yorikke EP in 2013 - a three-track mid-summer trip which was released on Riotvan. At this time Panthera started playing his music live from Corsica Studios, London to Le Batofar, Paris and from Panoramabar, Berlin to IFZ, Leipzig. This live experience culminated in his Rules EP (2014) on Lobster Theremin and the Laika EP (2014) on Riotvan. These records caused a lot of feedback from Axel Boman to Robag Whrume and from Kyoto to Offenbach. Even Gilles Peter- son got in touch with Panthera's sound and asked for an exclusiv radio-mix for his World-Wide-Family- Mixtape. After he debuted on the Uncanny Valley 5 Years Compilation Panthera Krause is back with his Umami EP. A journey between organ house, epic flute moments and abstract beat structures all bounded by originality.
