Biografie
Whether it's her new-age writing style or her smooth, honest voice, twenty-five year old singer-songwriter Heather J will make you feel like you've known each other for years. While her songs exude strong pop breakdowns and infectious syncopation, Heather ties in her organic roots that inevitably leave you wanting to know the voice behind the music.
Born and raised in Ontario, Canada, Heather has quickly built a fanbase that stretches worldwide. She has garnered over 35K Youtube subscribers and over 3 million video plays, holding a loyal on and offline fan base that has eagerly followed her journey since the beginning. In 2015, Heather J debuted her first commercial Christmas single of Mariah Carey's Pop Classic 'All I Want For Christmas', which gained airplay on Canadian Radio and Satellite TV. Heather has since then played on numerous morning television programs, live radio interviews and performances, opened for local acts as well as North American artists such as Tyler Ward, and played at staple venues in Toronto and Nashville.
After allowing herself to discover the possibility of a music career as a pop girl/guy duo, she quickly found that her strong suit was in her own original writing and musical style. Although a risky and daunting feeling to leave, she realized that there were brighter possibilities on the other side. Since an official breakup in July 2018, Heather has competed on Canadian wide talent search 'The Shot', making it to the final top 10, released a cover of Loud Luxury's hit Body which has been added to Spotify and Sirius XM playlists, released her original single and lyric video for Who's Gonna Love U (produced by Searcy and Londn Blue) which has gained over 25K streams organically, and recorded in Nashville's Southern Ground Studios (Zac Brown Band) for her debut EP.
Writing over 40 songs in roughly 90 days, Heather has proven that there is no slowing down now. She has channelled her challenging experiences in life, love, and music heartbreak, to create some of her most honest and vulnerable music to date. In 2019, Heather J will be releasing her much anticipated debut EP.
