Biografie
Born in 1988, Jason Montanha is a young DJ with a passion for the music scene and nightlife. He grew up in Hersonnisos, Crete in the Greek islands which exposed him to the party scene early in life with the waves of tourists heading to the island to dance the night away. It was a combination of his passion for music and his exposure to the world of nightlife and DJ'ing that led him to take his career professional and he burst onto the scene with his undeniable talent.
Jason Montanha studied sound engineering in the UK where he was introduced to the world of music production and he has been addicted to putting sounds together ever since. Mostly he has been producing bootlegs but also some original tracks. The following summer Jason found his way onto one of the hottest stages in Crete, Starbeach where he played the first set of the day. The following year in 2007, his potential was acknowledged as they hired him as one of their resident warm up DJ's. Throughout his time with Starbeach his DJ skills and popularity grew in record time before he was hired in 2009 at one of the busiest and most popular clubs in Crete, BioBio, where he continues his residency every summer season till now.
His success continued in 2011 when Starbeach brought him in to DJ for the world famous daytime foam parties and the night beach parties. Plus Jason has been behind the decks at 'Beach Flirt' and 'Recovery' parties alongside famous DJ's like Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, DJ Chuckie, Vato Gonzalez, Laidback Luke and more.
In the summer of 2014 while performing at BioBio he was approached by the manager of the most popular club of Bahrain, Klub 360, and was offered a residency there for the upcoming winter period. In his time there his unique style definitely made a great impression and gained the crowds respect from the start.
Through working at BioBio Jason has developed his skills with mixing various genres like Hip Hop, Trap, Moombahton, House, techno etc. His ability to read the crowd along with his mixing skills has distinguished BioBio as the place to go on the club scene in Crete, compared to the common 'radio mixtape' clubs. In addition to the music genres he plays at BioBio, Jason's preferred style is most House sub-genres including Electro, Tech-House, Techno and Latin House.
From the first time Jason started playing music he has always believed that you can never stop learning. There is always some way you can improve your performance, whether it is your mixing technique to even people psychology.
